The price of the carpet has increased significantly from 8x10 to 9x12. It shouldn't be nearly twice as expensive. I was in love with the vibrant shades of purple and turquoise featured on this rug on various websites online. However, the carpet is a bit duller, the turquoise and celadon more like a deep royal/navy blue and the celadon more like a light blue. Orange is completely superior to purple. The ivory color is more like a dirty cream color. If you are looking for a navy blue rug, you should definitely try this rug. But I wanted turquoise so I'm disappointed. The carpet is really thin which I can live with but not happy with. Not soft either. More outdoor feeling. It brings a lot of color to the room and it's a beautiful rug and I would probably appreciate it if it was the RIGHT colors. You're definitely going to need a rug pad because even in 9x12, this thing will slip right under you if you step on it, so be careful.
