It could be better. on jig accessory

Firstly, this isn't a rotary hammer, argh. This is a pocket hole attachment. You're breaking your ankles for nothing. The first impression is that it is really well made and designed for heavy loads. Looks good, well made. Unfortunately, it has only one plus. There are NO instructions in the packaging. No one. arg again Sure, it's not a complicated device, but if you've never used it, you won't find any help in the box. My mistake is that I didn't realize the scale is in mm. I should have looked better. my fault So if you're a lazy American like me, you'll have to ask Alexa to do the conversions for you. The clamping mechanism is terrible. I should have known, but I didn't know how bad it would be. You turn the handle on the back to press it against the shaft. If you're making big pieces, like I make a lot of the cabinet panels, this will be a big problem because you know you'll have to tighten with each new hole every time. I think I'm spoiled with my Kreg K5, it has a toggle clip on the front. At least you could attach a lever clamp here. For some strange reason, the bit is Philips. For real? Most countersunk screws I have seen or used are many brands, the heads are always square. So you can't use this for "regular" pocket hole screws. Also, the racquet seems pretty flimsy, I wonder if it might break. You can't expect the world for the price, but there is no dust extraction on this device. And I don't see a way to add it. If you can find a dust collection flange, you might be able to install it. Like I said, for the price you can't expect everything, so that's no blow to the product. just a reminder While I can't say too many good things, it does pierce holes well. as they should be. Although I did notice quite a bit of metal shavings. I don't remember ever seeing that with a crag jig. I included this in one of my photos but it can be hard to spot. Either the device tears the bits or the bits are screened. Or maybe it's just the first use. Even if it seems strange. Like I said, it's durable. And it works. It's up to you to decide if this works for you.

Pros
  • Wide application
Cons
  • Not all will fit
