Most of the time my control is off, but my wife needs the warmth of an electric blanket far more often than I do. This model heats up instantly and gives off a lot of heat. If you like a warm comforter so you don't have to guess if it works or not, then this is the one for you. The material is soft and pleasant to the touch. When off, the blanket is heavy enough to keep me warm at a room temperature of 20 degrees Celsius until my biological thermostat lowers my body temperature in the early morning. I can then set the slider to low or 2 and go back to sleep. The duvet looks stylish when the bed is made and drapes smoothly around the corners. Some of the colors available were cheaper than the ones I bought. So if you have the right color taste, you can grab a great bargain. As with most electric blankets, you can feel the wires if you try this, but they don't cause any discomfort when you go to bed. This purchase allowed me to test Revain's return policy. The first surviving device had a misplaced wire on the edge of one side of the ceiling. The replacement was essentially immediate and free of charge. Excellent response time and no interference from Revain.
