They need to be programmed. I went to Batteries Plus and they charged $40 for a keychain. I was offered to sell a new one for 130€. Here the car should connect to the car's computer. You will also need to take the door key hidden in the key fob to a locksmith to have it cut to match the original. I've tried Lowes and similar places but they won't/can't make these types of keys. Once programmed, they work great. Remote start also works! In general very satisfied!
