I received the heat shields the next day and was grilling by 5PM that same day. These heat shields are not much different from the factory Kenmore that cost $40-$50 each! Will they rust?.of course they will but I'd rather replace a set of $14 shields yearly over paying $200-$250 every few years for the Kenmore shields (I've had the Kenmore stainless steel grill for 3 years, use it 2-3 times per week, and the heat shields are beyond usable).They don't fit perfect but they really don't have to. You just need them to cover the burners (which they do without a problem). They keep grease and food droppings off the burners and flame-ups away from your food.
