Review on Clipquik Premium Clipper Guards Clippers by Nicole Soto

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Still needs a little modification before use.

These guards are very strong. As with Clipquik's previous design, they still need to be modified slightly to prevent the retaining tabs from breaking. Using a razor blade or pocket knife, remove excess plastic from the two inside corners that rest on the cutting end of the clipper blade. This extra plastic is easy to spot as it is only on the first and last ribs and the center ribs of the guard can serve as a guide. If necessary, remove a small amount of plastic from the retaining tab to adjust the tightness of the protective cover. I compared this tab to the one that came with my clippers when I set it up. The product claims it will not work with some Wahl professional clippers as it is designed for home clippers with a #1045 standard tapered blade and professional clippers with a #1006 standard tapered blade. However, it will also work with professional clippers that come with a standard #1005 tapered blade, which is identically shaped but has a third screw hole. They are compatible and come standard with Wahl Designer, Cordless Designer, Pilot and some Sterling.
