This ashtray does not fit the large Big Green Egg. When the tray is inserted, it protrudes from the lower opening and prevents the door from closing. The instructions on the Revain website state that the firebox needs to be pressed against the back of the egg for it to fit. This is a big no-no because it concentrates the fire in one spot and, if hot enough, can crack open the egg's outer shell; Goodbye $350! The instructions for the egg clearly state that the firebox should be in the middle! This thing is a waste of $45. Mine goes bsck.
