I've tested a number of $20 fans and they're all pretty much the same. This fan stands out for the following reasons: 1. DOWNLOAD. Press the button on the remote control and the fan slowly rotates from side to side. WARNING: This may hypnotize you.2. The LED light is built into the base and the remote control turns it on and adjusts the brightness as well. Handy little night light.3. SPRAY. No, it doesn't spray wash your car, it simply activates the built-in humidifier with a small water tank that you fill.4. REMOTE CONTROL controls fan speed and power on/off. CONS: 1. The remote will ONLY work with a clear view of the fan pedestal sensor. 2 The battery cannot hold enough charge to last more than about an hour. 3. The fan will NOT run while you charge the battery (unlike $20 fans that can).
