Works well, here are some tips

I've used this on two tanks, the first 30 gallon hex tank. I put a black backing on the back 3 sides. Each panel must be created separately. Otherwise the background won't last. I stuck the tape to the background in several places at the seams. This helped hide the filter and heater. I switched to a black airline and it's barely noticeable. The fish really stand out. I learned a lot while working with this aquarium. Turn on the lights in the aquarium and in all rooms so you have enough space to work. Measure and cut first. I cropped my background an inch longer than the tank. I then used a razor with a new blade to trim off the excess after applying the background. When cutting to height, place the cut edge down. Gravel or subsoil conceal deviations. Lay the finished factory edge close up. When I made my next aquarium, instead of using a paper towel to smudge the ocean view (it absorbs liquid and is expensive per ounce), I used a plastic sandwich bag. I first smeared a thin, even coat onto the tank. It helps get rid of dry patches. I then applied a slightly thicker, even coat over the base. I used a 4-5" plastic spatula you can get from the paint shop at Walmart. Turn on the light on the aquarium and check the front frequently. I started in the center and worked down each side, noting every stroke overlapped. Then I did the same thing up and down. Then I passed diagonally in both directions. I repeated these steps until they looked my best. Take your time and you only have to do it once as long as it looks good.
