Great stand; even if it's not pretty. Turning a large display so its long side is vertical will REALLY surprise you. You can see the entire 8.5 x 11 inch page with a reasonable font size and still have some free space. I understand why computer screens are horizontal (like a TV) but everything you read is in portrait orientation, like a piece of paper. Using this stand will solve this problem and you can easily switch from one to another to edit pictures, read documents, etc. Great product! The thing is strong and looks like it will hold up. The problem is that a 27-inch Apple monitor weighs about 50 pounds, and when placed on this stand, the stand scratches the table when you move the stand. Basically, the legs should have felt pads or something similar. or a metal desk in the office, but you will be REALLY unhappy at home after ruining a fancy desk or table.
