Review on Dreambaby Toothbrush with Silicone Finger Design by Max Stallworth

Fits great in my small dog's mouth and fits my finger very well

Fits in my small dog's mouth and fits my finger very well. Finger brushes for small animals are poorly thought out and apparently not tested for functionality. It measures 2-1/2" L x (slightly larger) 1/2" diameter at the fingertip - the smallest end and the bristles start right at the fingertip. It is very soft, very flexible and can be sterilized in boiling water. I chose this one because it only has bristles and no useless "bumps" on the other side, and I love that it's BPA/PVC-free and phthalate-safe. It would be nice if it came with a storage box but I found my perfect solution for that. I had a replacement orthodontic holder and the brush fit perfectly. An additional advantage is that the housing has 4 ventilation holes, so after cleaning, moisture remaining on the brush evaporates and does not encourage bacterial growth. My dog is an 11 pound Poodle mix and fits the back of her mouth better than any I've tried in the last 13 years. I brush her teeth every night with a regular baby toothbrush and also use it to massage and stimulate her gum line which she loves. She has very small front teeth that have become too sensitive to use a regular toothbrush, but she tolerates it very well so I can brush her front teeth again. The only issue I had is that it's a bit hard to get off your finger, but that's the nature of silicone. I plan to try a little oil on my finger before putting it in to make it easier to remove. I'm sure it will work, but cleaning the oil from the inside might not be worth it. It took a long time and a lot of trial and error to find the perfect finger brush, so I plan on buying a few more in case they become unavailable, the manufacturer decides to change the design, or this one gets lost. This product is highly recommended!
