I really liked this watch and everything about it appealed to me. The elegance and simplicity of a timeless watch with some additional smartwatch features. The biggest problem with the watch is the terrible sync issues which is why I ended up returning it. As much as I want to keep it and justify the issues in my head, it fails to properly perform one of its primary functions: syncing with your phone. Bluetooth has a line-of-sight range of about 30 feet. Add walls, doors, etc. that shrink drastically. Most of your Bluetooth devices often go out of range, but once you're in range, they'll automatically reconnect. This is the main problem and the biggest problem with this watch. If it goes out of range, it will not automatically reconnect. If you try to manually reconnect your watch to your phone, a troubleshooting page will appear due to a connection error. You must manually remove the device from the Fossil app. Then you need to forget the device in Android Bluetooth settings. Sometimes I had to restart the phone just for the clock to clear completely. Then I had to restart the whole pairing mode. I literally had to do it at least once a day. By the seventh day I was fed up and started the process of getting back together with Revain. I am 100% sure this is not my phone as I use Bluetooth devices on it on a daily basis and technology is an area I am not new to. There are other issues with this watch that I haven't mentioned, but this is by far the biggest issue. Switch. It had the ability to hit a home run but sadly got stuck.
