HP carried out an automatic firmware update which immediately (again) caused the existing cartridges to fail. The backup set I bought last October also didn't work as it showed I had put the wrong colors in the slots, although this may be a non-HP issue. I immediately ordered this cartridge set, including an additional black reservoir. I put them in, there was no problem with the printer. This gave me the usual non-OEM ink warning that I missed. Easily printed two documents with some color. Disclaimer: I only print documents, not photos or anything else where color quality is important. The thing is that they have been working without problems on my 6958 since the last firmware update (April 2021 I think). Now I've also disabled the automatic firmware update as it doesn't seem to do anything except stop my cartridges from working.
