Now we even have a sturdy cooking surface that won't froth up our food and then chill it down to a soggy wreck (repeat)! Where I live, these plug-in heat controls can be found at thrift stores everywhere. So if your skillet sucks, burns, and (simultaneously) cools, consider replacing the fork (from a thrift store or other appliance in your household).
