Review on πŸ”₯ Advanced Fast & Low Level CO Detector: Display > 10ppm, 25ppm Buzzer Trigger by Scott Mauri

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems to work: Security

The clear front cover was scratched at the factory (rather than shipping). The button is hard enough to press to reset/check etc. I wish there was a way for me to do a real level test. If you have a gas oven I would buy a low oven and spend the money. The kiddie I bought was rubbish. On the plus side, I held it 2 feet from the exhaust pipe in a closed garage and it started to rise and sting. It reached 145ppm before I stopped the test. I bought a cheap nursery as a backup and the same test never went above 20ppm when held 3 inches from the exhaust. That's awful. It wasn't a scientific test, but it gives you an idea. I was expecting it to register some level of associated gas after returning to the garage after parking the car, but it didn't. This too is difficult to understand. I plan to buy Defender or similar in the future and use that as a backup. I can update later with a better test. (if i can edit it)

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Good, but not great
