The hat is a bit big for our daughter (almost 3 years old). Thanks to the elastic band, however, it can be easily adjusted and your head is well protected when bathing in the sea and in the pool. The material dries very quickly and the cut of the hat also protects the neck well. I also liked the fact that the hat was not packed in plastic but was sent in a paper bag. A plus for the environment! We can't judge how durable the hat is yet, as we've only been using it for a few days.
