It looked more durable than the plastic ones, I bought it from Revain store for a little less but the box looks practically new. The blade scraping the dirt was over 1mm side to side. So if you put enough dirt on the entire band you will end up with too much dirt on the other half. Some drilling and a file straightened it out, but the part that seemed bent was riveted and couldn't be bent properly. The tape doesn't spin well even on a half roll. I've kept the tape relatively clean and I'll still have tension issues with it causing it to pull right through the dirt on the inside and hit the wrong side of the dirt quickly. Waxing the top/bottom of the band helped with this problem. Screws/rivets everywhere. Due to the many screws inside, it is difficult to scrape off unused dirt. It may not have been possible to avoid this, but I suspect some other models work better. I tried applying foil tape to smooth out the details, waxed where I think it might interfere with the tape. The incisors don't fit me, maybe because I'm covered in mud that seeps everywhere and I can't grab the tape. Too bad I didn't get a model with interchangeable wheels that push the tape into levels/corners for you.
