This adapter does what it's supposed to. I have a Silverstone FT02 case so I went with this model because it looked good. It's both visual and mechanical. The brushed metal finish matches and also supports the tool-less locking mechanism of the FT02 case. The only thing I don't like about it (and I have no idea if this is a common issue with all these types of manhole adapters) is that it was a bit difficult to install. You need to install the screws through the wide holes through the empty space into the adjacent screw holes. The 3.5-inch device itself doesn't have any protrusions or anything to hold it in place. So when you try to position the screws, the device itself slips off, making things a bit more difficult. I have three tips to make this easier: 1) A piece of masking tape on the front will help keep the 3.5" device at the correct depth so it doesn't keep falling out forward. 2) Fold a piece of cardboard to place over the adapter and your 3.5" device to stabilize the end of the 3.5" device or the free end (away from the bezel ) moved too much. Obviously you will pull it out after screwing in the screws. 3) If you don't have a magnetic screwdriver, you'll need one. Luckily, you can magnetize any screwdriver by running a magnet over it for a moment. I struggled until I made it because my magnetic screwdriver wouldn't go through the weird empty space.
