Very nice polished anodized aluminum, looks nice in my case.

This is an expensive converter but very nicely made. I spent a lot of money on my case and all the holes line up perfectly. The front panel is actually screwed to the side of the case, so once the peripheral is installed you can loosen the side screw and align the panel to fit snugly against the peripheral, which in this case was expensive but cool. USB 3.0 card reader. If you look at the prices of these bay converters, you will see that they are everywhere. In my experience this is one ofโ€ฆ

Does the job, ideal for Silverstone cases

This adapter does what it's supposed to. I have a Silverstone FT02 case so I went with this model because it looked good. It's both visual and mechanical. The brushed metal finish matches and also supports the tool-less locking mechanism of the FT02 case. The only thing I don't like about it (and I have no idea if this is a common issue with all these types of manhole adapters) is that it was a bit difficult to install. You need to install the screws through the wide holes through the emptyโ€ฆ

Pffft other reviewers.

I have read other reviews on this product and was looking for something that would fit in a 3.5" card reader. I didn't like the plastic too much and wanted something really durable as I build my cars to last. Other reviews talked about how difficult it was to get the fasteners in, and actually it wasn't. It took just as much effort as anything else, but I'm also a mechanic so all those years of wrenching might have made something this difficult the easiest for me, so I asked my girlfriend to do

Totally disappointing

I bought this with a Silverstone Tek GD05B HTPC case so I can use an Antec VERIS IR system that fits a 3.5" hole around to control the system remotely. 5.25" external bay opening. Sturdy, but it was a fraction of a millimeter larger, and while I was able to make it fit by sliding it in, I didn't like the look either. The aluminum grain goes in the wrong direction on this one. Horizontal, ie it didn't look right. Not only that, I couldn't get VERIS to line up the holes for mounting as there areโ€ฆ

Extremely strong and refined, but.

This is one of the best 5.25 to 3.5 inch converters. Also, you can install a 3.5 inch device such as a card reader. Alternatively, you can install two 2.5-inch devices such as hard drives or SSDs, a durable design that is also very exquisite. In addition, the mounting holes are drilled with high precision, making it easy to level your device. There are a few things to note though: 1) The front of the FP55B is highly polished black anodized aluminum - it's not flimsy - it might not look great in

Firm seat, beautiful brushed aluminum front. Painful installation

I bought this to use with the Rosewill 74-in-1 3.5" Internal USB 3.0 Card Reader (RDCR-11003) that I bought. My case is the Corsair Obsidian Series Black 800D Full Tower (CC800DW) computer case and one of the things I love most about it is the brushed aluminum front panel. I thought this faceplate would go with this look. Advantages: - Robust, high-quality workmanship. Very durable. The brushed aluminum front is perfect for my case. If you don't have a magnetic screwdriver, buy one. Otherwiseโ€ฆ

Attractive and high quality

I used a pair of these adapters to install a Biostar CABLEUSB30 and a SilverStone FP32B into the two front 5.25" drive bays in a Cooler Master 922M desktop case. This adapter comes with more hardware and screw types you will ever need to adapt various 3.5" devices to a 5.25" bay. As previously mentioned, installing a 3.5" device into this 5.25" adapter requires a steady hand to properly align the 3.5" device's screw holes first. and then either a magnetic screwdriver (small Phillips) or, in myโ€ฆ
