For the price ($49.99), this electric pot is excellent value. My previous hot pot was Tiger, which was great, but after a while I couldn't even get rid of the hard water deposits with vinegar. My old Tiger didn't have stainless steel inside. But the Chefman is made of stainless steel on the inside where hot water touches it. It is stainless steel in the inner lid where it comes in contact with water. But the lid and the top of the pot are covered with plastic that doesn't come into contact with hot water. This pot has a volume of 5.3 liters and towers above all my other devices. My previous hot pot was the Tiger 3L and I actually prefer the smaller size. But that's not the fault of the device itself. Just keep that in mind before you buy it. This hot pot is way cheaper than the tiger and I notably bought it at a great price. There is only a keep warm function (my old Tiger had 3 temperatures) but there is a boil up function. In keep warm mode, the water is on the warm or slightly hot side. However, after you press the Re-Boil button, the water will be boiling hot. In general I like it. Serves its purpose, but is too high. I would give 4 1/2 stars but I am rounding up.
