Check out this picture before you buy!

I'm sending the goods back. I use it to boil only purified water from Costco. After a month of use, I begin to understand that there are a lot of white particles in the water. I'm not sure if it's from the water or the camera. When I tried to clean the camera I was amazed to find a lot of red residue. It looks like it comes from the oxidation of some internal parts. So sad! I've been using this water for a month to make formulas for my newborn son.

DO NOT BUY - HEALTH HAZARD

The urn was a useful kitchen utensil until I noticed what appeared to be limescale forming a few months after use. I cleaned the "scale" several times before finally deciding to disassemble the cover for a more thorough cleaning. To my horror and disgust I found what appeared to be plastic were pieces of decomposed rubber insulating rings that were starting to crumble from the constant heat exposure. Our whole family has been drinking pieces of plastic for the past few months. In other words…

cooks consistently well for combination hot water boilers and heaters

Product arrived and we were very excited but very disappointed! We plugged it in and waited for the pot to boil. When the water boiled, it switched to a warmer setting but didn't stop boiling. After a few hours the water in the pan boiled away and there was no more water in the pan. I'm not sure if that should happen, but we wouldn't save it if it did. Tried adding water, same thing, cooking mode didn't turn off. such a shame. We're trying to get it back but if it worked properly it would be…

  • So far so good

Bought it for meetings as a lot of people drink tea. We have been using it successfully for 5 months and one day at startup all 3 LEDs are constantly flashing and there is no more boiled water. just warmed up. Nothing in the troubleshooting section of the user guide addresses this issue. I called Chefman customer service and left a voice message (following their instructions) over 2 weeks ago and never received a call back. Today I went to their website and sent an email asking for help. Lets…

Suitable for weekly use, price is right

Update: It has been over a year since the manufacturer contacted me and replaced our original heating pad. The exchange works great without incident. I'll mark the first bad experience as a separate issue and update the review. First Review: I bought this for our church here at Revain in October 2017. Last Sunday I left the kitchen for 5 minutes and when I came back boiling water was pouring out of the unit and there was no one around. Water leaked from the device. I had to turn it off to stop…

When I got my first water heater I changed 4 stoves in 1.5 years before I got my first chef got . All other companies would simply collapse for me after the first few months. When I got my first Chefman water heater I thought it would be the same problem and 5 years later I am still using the same water heater. When the time came and I had to buy a second water heater, I had no doubts. that I would buy a Chefman because of the excellent quality and condition of the first one. The new hot water…

For the price ($49.99), this electric pot is excellent value. My previous hot pot was Tiger, which was great, but after a while I couldn't even get rid of the hard water deposits with vinegar. My old Tiger didn't have stainless steel inside. But the Chefman is made of stainless steel on the inside where hot water touches it. It is stainless steel in the inner lid where it comes in contact with water. But the lid and the top of the pot are covered with plastic that doesn't come into contact with

Bad Hand Pump: Not Recommended

UPDATE July 17, 2018: Following my update below, I've had the opportunity to test the Chefman on two consecutive Sabbaths (Shabbat) and it works so much better! It only took a few pumps to fill 8 oz. cup with hot water. I later unplugged the device and tried the hand pump again, and it still took more than three pumps to fill the cup. I'm increasing my star rating to three even though I like the device but I believe it can still be improved. I seem to recall that a few weeks ago I was at a…
