I carefully considered what I wanted to get from UHP Tires for a reasonable price in the range of 245/45/18. The decision ultimately rested with them. The car enters turns precisely with few rolls, and it has good traction in warm weather. Stupid pits! I travel to places with no roads at all! The wheels are shielded from the curb and they yet have a nice appearance. However, the robust walls has a downside. The first is a steep rut; as you strike it, you can feel the lines with the steering wheel. Second, the balloon weighs a significant amount. Thirdly, there may be axle boxes if the temperature is below +15 or if they need warming up. Does it merit the cost? At 100%!
