This is the best sharpener. But after a few months of use, it broke. The slot in the sharpening edge will chip and come loose, allowing the handle to rotate easily. I bought a second one but it broke just as well. I haven't looked for another because I haven't seen a better sharpener than this one. But I also couldn't buy a new one after the second one broke. I found a cheap solution that anyone can follow. Just cut some thick paper, e.g. a watercolor sketchbook, into a ribbon shape. Put the end through the back hole and assemble the sharpener as usual. When the paper is thick enough, it stops spinning.
