It's a pity I haven't changed them for a long time! I have a chandelier on a dimmer, and in the past when I turned it on full blast the heat from the bulbs would heat up and burn the white "sleeve" that went around the base making them look like candles. I've always bought new cases for them but these lights do NOT emit heat and give me 5000k of pure light which I can tone down if I want it to be less bright. Best of both worlds now, with my incandescent bulbs it was always a soft white even at full power. I really recommend replacing ALL your lightbulbs with these!
