This is my new favorite wine gadget. The aerator also acts as a stopper. So if you don't finish your wine bottle right away, you can leave the cap open until the bottle is empty without removing it. It is beautiful, looks very clean and chic. Aerate your wine quickly and easily at the push of a button. It definitely improves the taste of the wine. It's also easy to clean, just remove the plastic hose and rinse. No mess or hassle. Note: I took this to a wine and sausage party. I figured it was common sense that you press the lid to pour wine and press the lid to stop. More than half of people thought it turned off automatically for some reason. So be sure to find out about it. I kept hearing gurgles of, oh oh oh, and I had to run and press the lid because for some reason people wouldn't think of pressing the lid again to turn this thing off. I don't think this will affect the performance or the product, it's just worth mentioning that you'll be using this device in front of guests.
