Review on TP-Link TL-WN821N N300 USB Wireless WiFi Network Adapter for PC, Compatible with Windows/Linux/Mac OS by Aditya ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A wonderful product, its nice to use.

My parents live outside the city and asked me to provide Internet on a PC, which I gave them. The first idea is to distribute wi-fi from a smartphone (it catches 4g), and insert a wi-fi adapter into the PC (there is no built-in one). Having studied the offers on the market, the choice fell on this model (good price-performance ratio). Bought for 590. Then unpleasant dances began with a tambourine when installing drivers and setting up . The first surprise was that the drivers were not on a flash drive, but on a separate disk (it didn’t bother me much with a disk drive on a PC, but how many people now have a disk drive?), In the absence of a drive, you need to download drivers from the official site (in my situation it would be fatal). After installing all the disk drivers, the flash drive started flashing a green light, while . nothing worked. As if there is no wi-fi adapter at all. Perhaps these are the features of working specifically on my PC or on Windows 7. Fortunately, kind people recorded a video on how to fix this problem (you need to do magic in the OS settings, it’s not easy, I wouldn’t have thought of it myself). And everything worked. With a wi-fi station (smartphone) it connects perfectly, the signal catches perfectly (at what distance the signal is lost - I did not measure it). There is Internet on the PC - it is quite tolerable for YouTube to work. In general, a normal device for its price, but get ready to dance with a tambourine when installing drivers and configuring.

Pros
  • -price; -works good; - good performance for the money.
Cons
  • - Difficulties in installation and configuration.
