Review on Umbrella Sunshade Windshield Reflector Protector by Liz Taylor

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Very quick to set up and install, but takes effort to remove completely.

First of all I would like to say that I have the large version and I have tried it on a 4-door sedan and an SUV. It doesn't match the sedan very well, but you can bend the corners to make it fit if you really want it. I wouldn't recommend it though. It's great for an SUV. I was looking for a quick install windshield sunshade and this item turned out to be exactly what I wanted. To set it up, simply remove it from the case, rip off the Velcro, lower the grip, press down on the center, attach to your windshield and snap into place. It's like opening an umbrella. It fits quickly and easily onto the windshield and stays in place with the help of the sun visors. It blocks all sunlight meaning nothing gets through so the material is thick enough to work well but thin enough to act like an umbrella. The wedges are also well made and can flex a little while appearing flimsy. I haven't had any problems with them. But my main issue, which I haven't really thought of, is folding and putting away. Like an umbrella, press the small clip holding it in place to fold it down, then fold the ends over, wrap the velcro cord around and secure, then slide the handle up to fasten the slots to keep in place. If you want, then slide everything back into the case. I feel like this process defeats the purpose of getting the product in the first place. With a traditional sun visor, you unfold it and mount it to your windshield, sometimes struggling to stay in place. But to remove it, all you have to do is fold it up and place it on the seat. This product rises quickly, but it takes some effort to put away. So if you're impatient like me, you probably just fold it up, secure with velcro if you want, and put it somewhere. The effort seems impractical in my opinion, but it takes up significantly less space than a conventional sun visor. The choice is yours, of course, but I will continue my search for the perfect sun visor that is quick to put on and take off.
