Review on πŸš€ Highly Agile WLtoys V929 Beetle Quadcopter: Mini UFO for Easy Flying - RTF by Generic by Tingate Skrbec

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easily attaches to Flysky/Turnigy TH9x/9x

This little quad is cheaper so figured I'd play around with it if my DJI F450 is too big or my Hubsan X4 is broken (as it is now) . This is a DOG with Stock Tx. The only reason to use this is for instant flips when it's in 100% flight mode, although the lack of real control gets boring quickly. The sticks on the Stock Tx suck, but if you have a 9 channel Turnigy or Flysky (same) then this thing really wakes up. Haven't tried it yet, but I can bet I can bring back the instant flip mode if I set the endpoints to 120%, I'm just not entirely sure I even want it. V929 is the same size as v949 and v959. . It's bigger than the v939 and significantly bigger than my Hubsan X4. It's obviously a bit smaller than my 450mm quadcopter. I want to say that it is about 180mm. The battery life is amazing. I haven't officially measured it yet, but it seems to be around 8-10 minutes on aggressive flight, which is very good. hubsan gets about 5-6 and dji 450 gets about 10 with 2200mah 3s. This v929 could easily be longer than 10 but I was expecting 6 so it was very surprising that it surpassed that number. It came with LOTS of flips so you can't run out of battery any faster. In terms of durability, well to be honest I don't break much. When I first tried this I got into deck stays because the initial mode is 20% and you get literally no elevator or aileron. I also hand throttled a few times before realizing I had the wrong mode on my th9x and had to twist the throttle as well. While the gears look flimsy compared to direct drive, they actually have some power AND add some power to them, which is a good combination. In addition, the plastic gear is supposed to protect the engines when you go full throttle and forget to take it back. I flew my mate's Syma X1 today and was very disappointed with the sluggish aileron but that could easily change once he gets his Turnigy 9xr and tethers it. . But the v929 flew better and was more fun out of the box. Being in the same price range I thought this might be a useful comparison for anyone considering the two. All in all it was a good purchase that I would most likely make again if something terrible happened to the current one. difficult. The dogs started chasing him and if he can withstand repeated mid-air bites from a 90 pound Doberman, then I would say he passed the endurance test. A nice upgrade for him is the GWS 5443 propeller set. They give him a noticeable plus in traction.
