Strong, cheerful animal

Bought for me and my son-in-law. We had a lot of fun and the normal learning curve collapses. This machine is quite a performer. You should be careful which sensitivity setting you choose. 20% is enough for the room. After hitting a post and falling 15 feet to the tile floor, I finally snapped a wire near the motor. The block is easy to disassemble so you can do solder repairs. Don't look for much help in the guide unless you like broken English and fancy sentences.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Periodicity

I haven't flown much outside (gusty winds) so I .

I haven't flown much outdoors (gusty winds) so I can't judge open field flying. It's 25'x12' in my living room and it's ok. If it's VERY sluggish in 40% mode, it's much more responsive in 60% mode, in 100% mode it's a fool if you move the directional stick a lot. The 1st battery flew as expected with the 3-axis system, the 2nd battery drifted around after a few hours. Next day 2 batteries for a few hours and everything seemed back to normal. This will be a problem for a newbie. I keep it anyway

A good entry-level quad for cars and parts with remote and app control

Quads are completely different from flying airplanes or even helicopters. Keep away from stationary objects like trees, your house, etc. while exercising. The controls and high speed of this quad takes some getting used to. I've had several failures, one of which was fairly severe and resulted in the power cable from the motherboard to one of the motors breaking. The replacement required me to purchase the lever and wiring as a unit, but it only cost about $5 (at Revain). Start the workout at…

THE BEST way to get into quadcopters

I confess I ordered this thing on a whim. I heard about quadcopters and thought they were pretty cool and I saw this one for $50 and thought why not. If I fly it once and it breaks or isn't very cool, I haven't lost a lot of money on it. But I have it and it's the best. It is very manoeuvrable. It's durable and works well. I've broken it twice and so far I've been able to fix it myself (using a dremel and soldering). The learning curve is a bit steep, but if you're looking to get into…

Quadcopter Training

I have several different brands. My favorite is the Exceed Walkera V2. It's the same as the Walkera Ladybird V2 except it has a spicier lantern. The two I mentioned are gearless and pump smaller propellers, and I should note that they are slightly smaller. On the other hand, the V929 is larger and more visible in flight. The important thing about all three is that they can be hit hard. I expected to break a few props and haven't broken yet. If you want to learn how to fly a quadcopter, any of…

Great entertainment for seniors too.

WLtoys v929 is a lot of fun and helps keep your mind and coordination fresh. Play with it every day and you'll see the difference as your skills improve. Even if you are in a wheelchair, the V929 is easy to set up and fly. I haven't been out to fly the bug yet. Inside you can still fly and maneuver at low levels in a small space, the more space you have the better of course. My pets are crazy about the bug but BEWARE the blades will sting if they get close to the face and can damage the chopper

Pros
  • Large selection

Easily attaches to Flysky/Turnigy TH9x/9x

This little quad is cheaper so figured I'd play around with it if my DJI F450 is too big or my Hubsan X4 is broken (as it is now) . This is a DOG with Stock Tx. The only reason to use this is for instant flips when it's in 100% flight mode, although the lack of real control gets boring quickly. The sticks on the Stock Tx suck, but if you have a 9 channel Turnigy or Flysky (same) then this thing really wakes up. Haven't tried it yet, but I can bet I can bring back the instant flip mode if I set…
