We have 2 adult neutered cats and a 6 month old neutered energetic kitten just arrived. Needless to say my two boys were not impressed. I've read so many reviews and different "soothing" options. I decided to buy 2 of these and they came in cute little metal tins. Yes, they have a strong smell, but I personally liked it. I have followed all the instructions. Cat 1 - in just a few hours he became lethargic, his eyes widened, he was salivating profusely and it was just weird behavior. I removed the collar and he recovered very quickly. Coincidence? I doubt. Cat 2 - NO change in his attitude. He's a real idiot! I daresay he's even more of an idiot (not because of the collar, but more because the new kitten wants to "play" all the time). I've noticed that since he's been wearing the collar, he's had an increase in hard-nosed boogers. He *constantly* licks it (but can't reach it) and scratches his neck. I checked his neck regularly to make sure there were no signs of irritation, no. The final output is 0 of 2 and I'm returning both. I was hoping for a positive result. I waited long enough, hoping that maybe the calming effect would "work," but no such luck.
