I would like to call myself an expert when it comes to children's shoes. I have 6 year old twins and our family goes hiking a lot. When it came time for my 2 year old to get shoes I had to do as much research as I did when I bought 6 year old hiking shoes when they were 2 years old. I've found some great ones that everyone has been happy with and have lasted a long time. This time the other shoes were no longer available. I wish I could buy a few pairs. Long story short, we ended up trying 3 other Pis that didn't work. This pair of "Children's Cross-Country Hiking Shoes Boys Waterproof Sneakers for Children's Outdoor Sports" works. My 2 year old always asks "we're going camping dad, put on my new shoes" so he's happy with them. They fit well and he finds them comfortable enough to walk 2 miles on his own. They're a bit stiff and have stayed that way despite a lot of use, and because they're waterproof the tongue of the shoe feels a bit tight and difficult to put on, my kid was never able to put them on. in itself, but for the purpose we use them for, I would buy them again. They appear to hold up well to abuse with little sign of wear.
