Review on Genssi Wireless 7 Tone Electronic Siren Emergency Horn Sound System: High-performance Remote Control System for Police Cars and Fire Trucks by Tony Trotter

Cool idea but performance is a little late

So this is one of the standard five or seven tone Chinese sirens you can buy almost anywhere. But it's wireless, which seems like a cool idea, but it has its own issues. First, other wired Chinese sirens are actually PA too. While it's not a great PA, it's still a PA. So if you're looking for it, you won't get it. The button layout is smaller than the number of sirens in the system, meaning you'll have to toggle between them for them to work. The only sounds readily available were hand, squeak, and airhorn. You will be the same every time. There is a delay between activation and the button being pressed. Up to a full second in the dashboard. So you click buttons and suddenly switch between sounds when you use the multifunction button. And then, of course, when there are real sounds. The air horn is OK. A little higher than some. Yelp is actually pretty decent. Probably the best tone. This is a slower cycle than most squeaks. A bit like a CHP, but a little faster. Sounds a little rough in the hand. A little too cartoony. The howling is kind of weird. Starts too low and takes time to climb. Almost like a car alarm system. And of course it takes time to shut down. Hi-lo is pretty hard to screw up, so other than being a bit quiet, there's nothing wrong with it. Cool toy but for a real siren I don't recommend it.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Annoys
