Great monitor - terrible monitor stand

This is my first purchase of an ultrawide monitor and I love it. So much room to work and overall a much cleaner look than dual monitors. I'm not a graphics snobby and a writer by trade, so I mainly do word processing and also work with various programs and spreadsheets related to my small business. For this purpose, this monitor is perfect. The image is sharp, works with all window sizes, and is pleasing to the eye. The screen is flat rather than bright, meaning it doesn't match the iMac screen. But heck, who expected this for $300? The monitor was well packaged with two HDMI cables and a power cable. No scratches or other damage. Good job Revain Renewed! Now for the bad part. The stand is just terrible. I placed the monitor on the factory stand that came with it and placed it on the back of the table. The table is very large and incredibly strong, but the monitor still shakes like a bobblehead when I type. Sure, I'm a little heavy on typing, but nothing crazy. The monitor stand is too flimsy and small to adequately support a monitor of this size. The monitor comes with a built in VESA mount, so I tried different mounts to fix the shaking. Some of them worked, but they all look clunky and hold the monitor at awkward angles. So I'm still looking. If it weren't for the crappy stand I would give this monitor 5 stars. Even with the crappy stand for less than $300, I still think it's worth buying and would have no hesitation in recommending it, especially if your work is more mouse-driven than keyboard-centric.
