DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE NOT VERY COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE, maybe wait for this model to mature and quality control issues solved. Disappointing. I wanted this printer to be liked, but it ended up wasting a lot of time and money. As you can see in the photo, a faulty Y-axis stepper motor was threatening to burn my house down on the last print I made. But that's not all, here are the main problems you will face. 1) The firmware is factory defective which means the advertised features will not work and when setting up the ongoing print the x and y axes will shift when exiting the settings menu. Let me tell you how fun it was Waste of time and floss To study the firmware is broken. It's actually quite easy to fix, but if you're new, expect it to take too much time. 2) The front MicroUSB port did not recognize the device on the PC or Mac. No driver was identified online. It complicates the firmware and editing of Marlin a bit, there is no porting, so to speak. 3) Factory assembled parts required significant disassembly and troubleshooting. Specifically the Y-axis and bed-related components (the same axis as the dangerous engine that looks ready to burn and destroy all your stuff while you're gone). About 4-6 hours to solve these problems on my side. 4) You will probably think the printer is ok and order upgrades to meet your needs. Are you surprised that the items you ordered from a specialist manufacturer now have to be sent back at your expense. I have a Microswiss kit that I consider necessary for my needs and that needs to be returned. 5) Not so much a bug in the v2 model as adopting a new model will complicate your ability to tune, modify, update and understand the system. The included documentation is sparse and the changes are enough to make tutorials for previous models quite confusing. For example, if you update and customize Marlin, you'll stay on your own devices (and that's okay). 6) If you have not assembled the 3D printer before the instructions are insufficient, check the wiring carefully at each step and maybe follow other online documentation. . Assembly is fun until the instructions become vague and the pre-assembled parts don't meet the specs, leaving you questioning your sanity. Hopefully this could be the printer it was meant to be, QC has a long way to go and I suspect they pumped these out quickly to meet demand for the new product (it's sold out at many vendors). I don't know how common it is as bad as mine, but it's alarming. The print quality was pretty good, but the machine stopped running well after a week of ownership. Huge disappointment, glad Revain got in touch and offered a refund. With that in mind, I highly recommend buying creative products directly from Revain to get insurance for a defective unit. All in all, not a home-made fake is worth burning your house down.
