DO NOT BUY THIS - THE MOST UNRELIABLE PRODUCT EVER USED, THE MOST UNRELIABLE

First of all, this is the FIRST review I have ever written on Amazon. I'm so upset that I wasted my time on this product that I have to write a review hoping you don't waste your time and money on this. I am a computer scientist and work with electronics, computers, servers and networks. all day every day of my life. I just spent 2 hours connecting my phone to this device. I have followed all the instructions in the attached 5 step guide. I have tried connecting this device to my Android phone, IOS iPhone and Windows 10 PC. Nothing worked. This unit is either dead on arrival or it's just the worst piece of code written/worst product I've ever bought from Amazon. What I can't believe is that I spent almost $100 on it. I've tried ALL the instruction sets, every possible operating system, and I've tried each one multiple times. The reason I'm so upset is that the software available for IOS and Android works like it was written by a kid. It's buggy, sends you to the settings screen, and lets you do something completely out of the ordinary. It wants you to connect to YOUR WiFi network and THEN reconnect to the device's local SSID to set it up, but if your phone goes to sleep or automatically connects to your home WiFi network during this process, everything will break . The PC version of their software is another BIG joke. The PC version installs the driver first, but the driver installation process hangs when you click "Install" and eventually (5 minutes or more) completes. There is no progress bar, there is nothing, you just have to wait until the program freezes. I wouldn't be surprised if something malicious gets installed during this process as well. The USB driver installation should NOT take 5 minutes. Period. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. At this point I think I would actually save time by buying a Raspberry Pi and a humidity sensor and assembling everything myself.

Pros
  • Flexible alarm modes. Alerts can be sent to multiple users. You can be notified when the device loses network connection, sensors are out of range, the battery is low, etc. Available alert modes include email, app notification, SMS texts, phone call, HTTP API, IFTTT.
Cons
  • I will add later
