This isn't the first AC Infinity fan I've bought. With electronics that get very hot, the manufacturer often doesn't provide adequate ventilation, so you have to change devices more often and they make more money. These fans will help dissipate electronically harmful heat and extend the life of your investment! I used this particular fan to cool my D-Link router which generates a lot of heat but has no fans. Due to its small size, this AC Infinity fan is ideal for improved heat dissipation from the router. Also, since it's next to my computer, there are plenty of handy USB ports. I've also used AC Infinity fans in the past to cool my TiVo Bolt and TV. The fan is described as very quiet, which I think is an exaggeration. It's quiet, but not super quiet. If I had one complaint it would be that the cable is so long for MY router application. It would be nice if the length of the cable could be adjusted. This item was designed in California but MANUFACTURED in communist CHINA. Despite being made in China, the quality seems to be very good. I recommend this article.
