I plugged it in, installed the drivers, and assigned 16, 17, 18, and 19 serial ports. I'm using a navigator interface that uses a few ports below. I could have reassigned each of them via the control panel but left them as is. I have a serial to CT converter for my Icom on the 16, a Harris modem on the 17, a GPS enabled oscillator on the 18, and a home antenna patch panel on the 19, all of which work with all my various software . HRD, MARS ALE, comms terminal, 110A, hardware via Harris and software. ETC. I no longer pull my hair out every time a Windows update restarts me! What is the difference between genuine FTDI chips and non-Chinese fake drivers? -Fred W4JLE
