Review on Sceptre FreeSync E248B FPT168: Frameless DisplayPort Monitor with Built-in Speakers, Wall Mountable & Tilt Adjustment - Full HD 1920X1080P, Flicker-Free & IPS Panel by Mario Autio

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent display with poor quality OSD

Image quality is fairly good at the intended resolution/frequency, although when using a monitor with less than the maximum resolution I did notice a kind of odd screen tremor that's hard to describe and more complex. Take photos, but for me it severely affects the legibility of low-contrast text. The way the monitor interacts with multiple computers is quite annoying, which is often due to the fact that it's completely disconnected from the computer when it's not showing on the computer in question. This causes all your open windows to get stuck on the remaining display. To my knowledge, the OSD has no way of telling the monitor to hold input and stay there when multiple computers are connected. I'm sharing a display between an always-on gaming PC (DP) and a work laptop (HDMI), and sometimes I can't switch the monitor to my work laptop after a few tries because the monitor is missing the HDMI signal very quickly denied. and returns to the DP input.
