Racks Heavy Duty. Perfect fit for my Elac Debut B6 speakers.

I bought two of these stands to support my Elac Debut B6 speakers. At 24 inches tall, my speakers are the perfect height for listening in my normal seating position. They are made of durable, powder-coated steel. It looks like these stands are sized and styled specifically for the Elac B6. This took about 20 minutes. Minutes to unpack and assemble each stand using a standard Phillips screwdriver (for the base screws) and the included hex wrench (for the top plate screws) I was able to screw in the spikes with my bare fingers. at the top of the center column are hollow and very resonant themselves. I bought a 25 pound bag of cheap, unscented kitty litter ($3.75 at a local store) and filled each of the racks. The kitty litter added about 10 pounds to each stall. The coasters now feel very heavy and tapping on them sounds like you're tapping on hard granite. I highly recommend filling the coasters with dry sand or cheap heavyweight cat litter. Insulate the top plate from my speakers. I wasn't impressed with the "rubber pads" that came with the stands. Finally, I added some black velcro straps that I needed to use to secure the speaker wires to one of the stands. It hides the cables very well and is an effective cable management solution. I would highly recommend these stands to anyone who needs a solid stand for larger bookshelf speakers. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
