My points are too sharp for the tracing paper I make on fabric and sometimes my durable tracing paper gets torn. It may not be what you are looking for for this type of work. I haven't torn the carbon paper I put under the tracing paper yet, but the extremely minimal "big" tip is now crooked due to the pressure I had to apply. I'm not sure you could find another product better than Fiskars' product for such things, but the needle isn't rounded enough in my opinion. Not for the delicate work I am describing. However, I understand how useful it would be to transfer drawings to wood. As for the canvas with its texture, I wouldn't even try in a million years. If you use it to transfer or emboss onto real card paper (thick paper), be careful not to tear or punch it. So be prepared for a learning curve.
