Great creative product

This product was used to make paper fashion show purses to raise funds and support local businesses. Needless to say, they were a hit. I preferred this tool over using a bone to score paper.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • No instructions

Five stars for the embossing

I have the bone binder, but I prefer to use it for cleaner notes. The dice folder that came with my scoreboard is too thin and will fill up over time. This will fit better in the groove and make the lines more visible. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • No performance

Best suited

Fiskars make good products. I used a pen with wooden handles. They are difficult to hold as they slip off when I squeeze them. This tool is rubber coated to keep it in place if you try to squeeze it while using the embossing plate. The ends of the ball tips are very smooth.

Pros
  • Works with standard paper, cardstock, foil, parchment etc.
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

IDEAL FOR SMALL EMBOSSING WORK!

I bought a template to emboss small baby feet (about 1 inch). I didn't want to emboss it with the Big Shot because I was afraid I wouldn't get enough detail from such a small embossing die. I bought it to use for small embossing projects that I could finish right at work without having to lug around extra equipment. This worked great for tiny baby feet as well as other small projects. I hold it next to my Big Shot while cutting so I can imprint small projects right away.

Pros
  • Soft grip case reduces finger strain
Cons
  • Not sure

Not for the job this time

My points are too sharp for the tracing paper I make on fabric and sometimes my durable tracing paper gets torn. It may not be what you are looking for for this type of work. I haven't torn the carbon paper I put under the tracing paper yet, but the extremely minimal "big" tip is now crooked due to the pressure I had to apply. I'm not sure you could find another product better than Fiskars' product for such things, but the needle isn't rounded enough in my opinion. Not for the delicate work I…

Pros
  • Lifetime guarantee
Cons
  • Very expensive
