All tests show that

First of all I would like to say that I have some experience with different wood wicks, mainly from (ahem) a big wood wick company. I received these wicks because my supplier reordered my order. and I was desperately looking for an alternative. Full Disclosure I did NOT expect them to work let alone beat the competition. Second, I rate the wicks ability to burn well WITHOUT soaking in oil. I know a lot of people recommend this, but a good wooden wick should keep burning without that extra step. Also, soaking in oil clogs the wick in my opinion. So I didn't soak. Third, I use a natural blend of coconut and soy that melts at a higher temperature than 100% soy. This type of wax is a problem with wooden wicks and I have to say these wicks have performed very well! Notes: They fit my 2.5 inch candles perfectly. I trimmed the wick between 1/8" and 3/16" (it looks very small but that's how it should work). shocked me because i tried different wicks from my supplier and nothing could give me such a big pool of melt and a nice flame! Overall I am incredibly happy with these wicks. They burn well, don't smoke, and melt completely (in this case, testing is key). The only downside I would say is that they are not FSC certified, which is important to me. But the last-minute change really impressed me.
