I needed a bright light for commuting and this fitted the bill. The battery life in bright light - as stated in the description - is only 2 hours and is therefore not worth more than 3 stars. But in the worst case, 1.5 hours for me, so that's enough. I like the thick rubber band attachment - it's easy and feels secure. Red light is nothing special. not very bright either. I wouldn't use it just as a rear light. At least it's also flexible and reliable, unlike some other flashlights I've lost due to bad roads and a loose mount. Update: Already broken after 5 1/2 months of occasional use, won't charge, won't turn on. BOOO! Do not buy.
