Good kit but poor quality resin. In terms of self-leveling, it's ok and not too bubbling, but the transparency leaves something to be desired. Yes, you can see objects within a reasonably sized cast quite well, but if you try to look *through* the cast you'll see a slightly wavy/pebbly texture that the best resins don't have. The result is softer than most, even with careful curing, so polishing (as suggested in the bracelet making instructions from the description) is not possible. However, the biggest problem with this resin is the inconsistent ratio of epoxy to hardener. In my experience it was *never* 1:1 and required a bit more hardener than epoxy. Then the killer: The ratio got even more skewed as I worked my way through the bottle. Get it wrong and you'll either end up with a gummy texture or (even worse) soft, sticky patches that will never heal. I realize this is a beginner's kit, but keeping the ratio simple is even *more* important for beginners, and it's not possible when *the ratio is constantly changing*. I just can't recommend something so unfortunate.
