We are new to the mountaineering world. So this is my first experience with wool socks. I bought them because the price of similar socks at one of my local outdoor stores was half that AND because I liked their height. below the ankle so they don't look too silly but still high enough to work with boots. They're great for hiking, from short day trips to killer multi-day trips. They are very comfortable and soft yet durable. They were a little hot but I thought maybe and it wasn't unbearable. My husband ended up stealing a pair from me haha and he loves them too! Looks like I'll have to add more to our stash!
