Maybe the second time is a spell?

The turnaround time for this review request is amazing. About three weeks ago I mounted two shock absorbers on the front wheels. Driving today, I hit a speed bump at low speed and noticed the front of my truck behaving erratically and abruptly. When I stopped to check, I noticed that one of the dampers was squinting. I slowly drove the rest of the way home and noticed that there was no compression on the affected side of the suspension. When I jacked up my truck and removed the shock absorber, it broke in two! In addition, the shocks came with no instructions and left me wondering about the correct torque for the top and bottom nuts. mounting screw. When I tried to download the manual from the Rancho website, it didn't recognize the part number no matter what iteration I entered it with. to remove and clean once during installation. I've been working on all of my cars for over two decades and can't remember a single part I've installed that failed in such a spectacular way. I bought these shocks because of their excellent reputation. I'm ready to try again and I hope the next shock I get works as it's supposed to! If so, I will update and revise this review.
