Can be made to work, but with effort. First you need to saw off to the desired length with a hacksaw. Easy enough but use gloves! My hands are cut, there's a reason it's fiberglass. In addition, the needle threader with half-folded elastic cannot go through the tubes - too thick. You can work around this by flipping the east around and piercing it so the elastic doesn't double up. This one's on me: They're a lot thicker than my old Eureka racks, and to fit the ends into the Eureka connectors I had to file the diameter. Painful, but at least I have an intact set of sticks again.
