Review on Griots Garage 10916 Liquid Gloss by Dan Quiceno

If you are looking for an easy to use wax that gives an incredible shine then this is for you. Over the past 45 years I've tried all types of wax (sometimes years ago for my parents' machines) and used everything from plain old Turle Wax & Simoniz to Pinnacle. None of them had the shine or hydrophobic properties of Griots Poly Wax. It's supposed to last at least 6 months so time will tell how accurate it is as it's only been a few weeks since I installed it on my car. I bought this primarily for my two kids' cars as they don't have time for waxing (or maybe even the occasional wash) at school and decided to see how well it worked before moving on to a much more expensive ceramic option . But for now this is the real deal. I own a 2017 Chevy Volt that I always thought was pretty dull greyish. I love this car and it was the only color available when I needed a new car, but the gray looked passable - until I smeared it with Griots Poly. Now it sparkles like never before and wicks away water and dirt better than ever. Even the rear bumper and sunroof area that used to get terribly dirty after only a 2 mile drive to the shop is cleaner. so easy I thought it wouldn't do anything until I drove the car in the sun. Then it was - WOW! However yesterday I started doing my wife's beautiful blue car on a 34 degree day outside) and it was just as easy as my car but it dried in less than their recommended minimum 10 minute curing time. . It all came off and the hood looks great (as far as I know) but taking it off was a real pain - I've read about it from others wearing it on a hot day in the sun. Lesson learned. But like my car, the blue shines and shimmers so much that even my wife was pleasantly surprised and doesn't care about the shine as long as the car is clean and starts when she needs it. Aside from my misguided attempt in the sun, the wax was easy to apply with the included applicator and just as easy to remove with the included microfiber cloth, and I let my car dry in the garage for about 20 minutes. If you are looking for the ultimate shine that stays short of a ceramic finish then Griots Polish is the wax to go for.
