I'm not sure what the dimensions of these things are. Which side is 2 1/4? At the intersection of the catalytic converter and resonator on a 2004 Toyota Sienna, it was too small to close. which was described in the parts diagram as a 2 1/4" connection, so I'm not sure what I'm missing here. A 2.25" Espeeder steel band clamp will not fit there either. In theory it should fit. Maybe they sent me a size smaller? Instead I used a U clamp and flipped it over. A key component of this clamp is an aluminum spacer block. It is pressed into the screw and is intended to secure the screw against turning and also to hold the extended screw head in the groove. may fall apart, in which case you're done, you can't tighten this screw. Happened to me with a similar band clamp.
