Fits perfectly in the foyer and adds color to our gray slate floors. Looks and feels handmade. It's not very thick, but the edge of the seam is too thick to go through in front of our door. The length is perfect. It's not soft or plush but looks easy to wash. So far I've only hung it outside and knocked it out to remove leaves and dirt. Dirt or heavy outdoor debris will not clog as shoes fly away when entering the hall, but sometimes falling leaves get inside. Generally very pleasant. I just wish it had more orange instead of black.
